Lukas Langlotz Curriculum

 

Born 1971 in Basel. Studied piano (Jean-Jacques Dünki), conducting (Wilfried Boettcher and Manfred Honeck) and composition (Rudolf Kelterborn) at the Hochschule für Musik Basel. Received stipends from the Hans Huber Foundation and the Rapp Foundation. From 1996 until 1997 he was in Paris for study purposes (working with Betsy Jolas, course at Ircam).

2002 until 2005 he did further studies in conducting (major in early music) at the Musikhochschule Luzern.  

Received commissions for compositions from important institutions and ensembles for contemporary music (among others from Pro Helvetia, ensemble für neue musik zürich, europäischer musikmonat 01, Basler Madrigalisten). Works performed in Basel, Darmstadt, Dusseldorf, Odessa, Sofia, Vienna and Zurich. Several recordings for radio. Teaches at the Gymnasium Oberwil and the Hochschule für Musik Basel.
